Job summary

The Minneapolis VA Health Care System seeks a Board Certified BE/BC Neurologist to serve as Chief of Neurology. The role oversees inpatient and outpatient programs, leads strategic planning, and directly supervises physicians, nurse practitioners, and technicians.

You will participate in the Education Debt Reduction Program, with incentive details determined by VA, and contribute to program development and patient care excellence within a comprehensive rewards package.

Qualifications

• Must be a United States citizen per VA policy
• MD degree from an approved school
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the U.S.
• Residency in Neurology approved by VA
• Board certification in Neurology preferred
• Proficiency in English, spoken and written

Responsibilities

• Manage inpatient and outpatient programs for the Neurology department.
• Lead strategic and business planning for the service.
• Directly supervise physicians, nurse practitioners, and technicians.
• Participate in the Education Debt Reduction Program process when eligible.
• Ensure compliance with VA policies and standards.
