Hartford HealthCare’s Ayer Neuroscience Institute in Bridgeport, CT is seeking a Neurology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our outpatient team. You will provide general neurology care across conditions from Parkinson’s to stroke, focusing on follow-up visits.

This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no on-call, supportive attending physicians, opportunities for professional growth, and CME reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to be licensed as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in Connecticut is required.
• Eligibility to be certified as a PA, Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), or AGPCNP is required.
• Experience practicing as an Advanced Practice Provider is required.
• Experience practicing within neurology is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient general neurology care for conditions from Parkinson’s to stroke and migraines.
• Manage patients, order and interpret diagnostic results, and adjust medications.
• Dictate clinic notes and educate patients and families.
• Attend multidisciplinary meetings and collaborate with attending physicians.
