Description

The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non‑tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree, and board certification in Neurology is required.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students and residents in outpatient and inpatient settings, instructing clinical fellows in allied specialties such as ENT, internal medicine, and family medicine, and helping to identify and schedule appropriate speakers and topics for weekly general neurology group case conferences, resident lecture series, and the virtual “Case of the Month” series. Opportunities to teach in the preclinical Brain and Behavior course are also provided.

Clinical responsibilities may include personal clinics at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) and Pennsylvania Hospital, with a primary focus on neuro‑otology. A small component of more general neurology clinics, particularly headache patients, may also be involved. Participation in clinical trial recruitment, CME activities, and quality improvement initiatives is welcome.
