Job summary

Mount Carmel in Columbus, OH is seeking an APRN–NP Specialty to deliver primary and acute neurological care in outpatient settings, aligned with our mission and standards. The position requires a Master’s degree, Ohio RN license, APN certification, and BLS; ACLS/NRP/EFM/PALs may be required in some departments; a DEA license is needed or obtainable; two years of nursing experience is preferred.

Position Purpose

The APRN - NP Specialty provides primary or acute healthcare services for specialty health conditions in Neurology in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization .

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Masters required in Science, Nursing or Specialty field. Graduate of an Advanced Practitioner program.
• Licensure / Certification: Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio
• Certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse in designated specialty required. American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) is preferred
• BLS provider certification required
• ACLS, NRP, EFM and PALs required for some departments (see Exhibit A)
• Holds a DEA license for controlled substances or ability to obtain as required
• All qualifications above are subject to grandfathering by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Experience: Minimum of two years recent and relevant nursing experience preferred
