University Orthopedic Care is a multi-site Florida orthopedic and musculoskeletal practice with an established concussion and brain injury program. Our physicians work alongside orthopedic surgery, physiatry, neuropsychology, pain management, and vestibular and physical therapy; an integrated outpatient model built around getting patients back to work, school, and sport.
We are expanding neurology across our West Coast region and are looking for a physician who wants to build a specialty pathway, not just fill a schedule.
Locations
Regional coverage across our Gulf Coast sites, (Tampa, St. Petersburg, Sarasota, Bradenton, Fort Myers, Naples), with a designated home clinic and roughly 20-30% travel between locations on a published, predictable schedule.
The Role
- Comprehensive outpatient neurology for adult and adolescent patients: headache, concussion and post-concussive syndrome, whiplash and cervicogenic disorders, radiculopathy and neuropathy, dizziness, cognitive complaints, seizure and neuromuscular conditions.
- Serve as the neurology anchor for the region — consultative support to our surgeons, physiatrists, and APPs, and the clinical point of contact for site teams.
- Perform and interpret diagnostics within scope (EMG/NCS, EEG if credentialed); integrate imaging, vestibular/oculomotor testing, and computerized neurocognitive testing.
- Return-to-work, return-to-learn, and return-to-sport determinations.
- Build referral relationships with regional primary care, emergency and urgent care, schools, athletic programs, and employer health partners.
- Occasional deposition testimony as a treating physician regarding your own patients.
