Job summary

The Psychiatry Neuroimaging Laboratory at Mass General Brigham is hiring a Research Assistant to support cutting-edge brain imaging studies. You will work with physicians, scientists, and researchers to collect, organize, and analyze data from neuroimaging experiments, including MRI scans.

Qualified applicants typically hold a bachelor’s degree and may have experience in psychology, neuroscience, computer science, engineering, or related fields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; strong organizational skills and ability to work well with others on a research team.
• Prior research or clinical experience is recommended.
• Computing experience with Linux/UNIX, Python/Bash scripting, and software such as MATLAB, Python, or R is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with researchers, physicians, computer scientists, psychologists, and neuroscientists on studies of brain abnormalities.
• Assist in managing and coordinating research studies: data entry, data analysis, and lab work including MRI sessions.
• Learn to use image processing tools for preprocessing and analysis of MRI data.
• Assist in describing and analyzing library materials and help prepare manuscripts and grant applications.
