Job summary

The MRI Physicist at the University of Notre Dame will develop and test MR pulse sequences on the Siemens 3T Cima.X platform to advance brain imaging research. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to design protocols, validate new methods, and push innovations in gradients, RF coils, and AI-based image reconstruction.

This three-year limited-term position emphasizes collaboration, experimental design, and hands-on work with MRI hardware and software to support cutting-edge neuroscience

Qualifications

  • MA/MS required; PhD preferred in a related field.
  • Experience developing, modifying, and testing MR pulse sequences on a research MRI platform.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, modify, and test MR pulse sequences using the Siemens development environment.
  • Collaborate with faculty and research teams to design protocols and support study planning.
  • Advance MR imaging technologies, including gradients, RF coils, field cameras and AI tools.
  • Scan phantoms and human subjects to validate new methods and perform QA/QC.
