Job summary

University of Minnesota seeks a senior researcher to lead data governance, processing pipelines, and collaborative neuroimaging studies across sites. The role requires a PhD with strong statistical and computational skills and experience with large datasets.

You will manage complex pipelines, co-author manuscripts, and support grant submissions while mentoring junior staff in data storage, quality control, and coding standards.

Qualifications

• PhD in a related field with 4+ years of experience or a BA/BS with 6+ years of advanced research experience.
• Experience combining quantitative behavioral analysis with neuroimaging, modeling, or computational neuroscience.
• Proven data storage administration and DAAs compliance experience.
• Hands-on neuroimaging processing pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, R, Linux/Bash, and C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Oversee data governance, pipelines, and technical execution across local HPC systems.
• Execute end-to-end neuroimaging data processing using Linux-based tools (FSL, FreeSurfer, Workbench).
• Conduct BWAS estimations and large-scale statistical analyses of neuroimaging data.
• Apply harmonization methods (e.g., ComBat, residualizers) across datasets.
• Lead development and maintenance of PNRS framework and repositories (e.g., GitHub).
