Job summary

Neuralink in Austin, TX seeks a Neuroengineer to join the Next Gen team advancing bidirectional brain–computer interfaces. You will design experiments, interpret neural signals, and develop encoding strategies for electrical stimulation to help people with neurological conditions.

Collaborating with scientists and engineers, you will deploy end-to-end hardware and software for prosthetic vision, run research sessions, and present results.

Qualifications

• Evidence of exceptional ability in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, machine learning, or a related field.
• 4+ years of academic or industry experience.
• A strong understanding of the scientific method and engineering first principles.
• Fluency with Python for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop computational models of, and design encoding strategies for, electrical stimulation
• Design, execute, interpret, and communicate the results of neural recording and stimulation experiments
• Implement end-to-end hardware and software solutions for prosthetic vision, including machine vision algorithms, smart glasses, and eye tracking technology
• Run and support research sessions in coordination with software engineers, field engineers, and animal specialists
• Present results in a collaborative setting
