Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ seeks a Neurodiagnostic Technologist I for night shift (7 PM–7 AM). Performs EEGs and long-term monitoring across neonatal to adult patients, with setup, artifact troubleshooting and data collection ensuring high-quality results.

Must have a Neurodiagnostic program credential or equivalent on-the-job training, hospital experience, and EPIC/NATUS familiarity.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a hospital setting.
• Graduate/Certificate from a Neurodiagnostic Program or sufficient on-the-job training with department approval.
• 1 year of experience OR 13 weeks (500 hours) internship completed at Atlantic Health Neurodiagnostic department.
• Experience with EPIC and NATUS preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• BLS CPR required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and ambulatory EEGs and bedside routines for adults and pediatrics.
• Performs Long Term Monitoring hookups for inpatient populations.
• Works independently in ICU, regular floors and various hospital environments.
• Obtains relevant patient history to guide testing and explains procedures to patients.
• Maintains electrode placement using the 10-20 system with accurate measurements.
• Monitors patients during testing and collaborates with physicians for interpretation.
• Maintains setup and ongoing long-term testing, reports skin integrity and ensures data quality.
• Communicates emergencies and provides care during seizures.
• Maintains equipment and data logs with attention to detail.
