Job summary

Sinai Hospital in Baltimore seeks a Neurodiagnostic Technician to prepare patients and conduct EEGs, Evoked Potentials, and Transcranial Doppler exams under moderate supervision.

You will collect patient history, explain procedures, apply electrodes, monitor quality of recordings, and document results for interpretation by the physician.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of neurodiagnostic experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs standard EEGs (wake and sleep; nasopharyngeal; bedside; pediatric; neonatal) per procedures.
• Adapts methods and instrumentation to obtain optimal results based on history and EEG findings.
• Applies the International 10-20 system to place electrodes and maintains impedances.
• Collects patient history and explains testing procedures to patient/family.
• Performs Transcranial Doppler examinations and non-invasive neurovascular studies.
• Performs infant OAE/ABR screening and documents results for the pediatrician/system state database.
• Performs clerical duties and assists in charting and billing.
