DCH Health System in Tuscaloosa is looking for a skilled Electroneurodiagnostic Technician. The successful candidate will perform standard electroneurodiagnostic procedures, monitor patient comfort, and maintain equipment. Candidates should possess a high school diploma, training from an accredited EEG Technology program, and a strong patient-focused approach.

To perform standard electroneurodiagnostic procedures under the supervision of a Registered Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist. To perform clerical duties as needed for department.
High school diploma or equivalent, and completion of training from an accredited EEG Technology program or at least one (1) year on-the-job training under the direction of a Registered Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist. Must be able to read, write legibly, speak and comprehend English.
Must be able to cooperate and work as a team with staff and patients.
At times must be able to cope with challenging situations when caring for patients.
Requires working with patients who have health issues.
Exposure to disease, infection and body fluid may occur.
Frequently able to stand, walk, kneel, sit, bend or crouch with good balance.
Ability to sit in front of a computer monitor in a quiet room more than half the time while remaining vigilant.
Must be able to maneuver over uneven or rough surfaces.
Must be able to ascend and descend stairs.
Must be able to carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs. for 50 feet.
Assist in turning and positioning patients weighing up to and beyond 200 lbs.
Must be able to reach overhead to retrieve and/or replace objects.
Must be able to perform the duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Hearing and vision must be normal or corrected to within normal range.
Physical presence onsite is essential.
