Qualifications

• Registered in a neurodiagnostic specialty (EEG, EP, Polysomnography, CNIM, NCV, RST).
• Licensure in EEG/EP/Polysomnography or related specialty is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs standard and complex electroneurodiagnostic tests in the Clinical Neurophysiology Lab.
• Conducts polysomnographic testing in the Sleep Disorders Lab with patient care.
• Work may occur in lab, clinic, bedside, or operating room as needed.

Salary Range: $28.87 - $44.62 per hour (Hiring Range). Pay offers are determined by experience and internal equity.

Summary:

The Neurodiagnostic Tech performs standard and complex electroneurodiagnostic tests in the Clinical Neurophysiology Lab and polysomnographic testing on patients in the Sleep Disorders Lab. Work may be performed in a lab, clinic, patient bedside, or in the operating room.

Education Requirements:

• Graduation from an AMA or CAAHEP accredited program in Sleep or Neurodiagnostics program of Neurophysiology (or equivalent combination of experience, training and experience).

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

Registered in one of the following specialty areas:

• EEG (Electroencephalogram- R. EEG T., CLTM)
• EP (Evoked Potentials-R. EP T.)
• Polysomnography (RPSGT)
• Intra-Operative Monitoring (CNIM)
• Nerve Conduction Velocity studies (NCV)
• Registered Sleep Technologist (RST)

Professional Experience Requirements:

• Neurodiagnostic Tech II: If completion of an AMA or CAAHEP accredited program in Sleep or Neurodiagnostics: No prior experience required. If a High School diploma or GED: Two (2) years of experience performing a variety of Sleep or Neurodiagnostics procedures.
• Neurodiagnostic Tech III: If completion of an acceptable program of Neurophysiology: Five (5) years prior experience required. If a High School diploma or GED: Seven (7) years of experience performing a variety of Sleep or Neurodiagnostics procedures.
