Job summary

The Chief Technologist in Neurodiagnostic at Advocate Health will oversee the technical operation of clinical services, coordinate staff across patient care areas, and ensure high-quality EEGs and long-term monitoring. You will maintain equipment safety, manage staffing schedules, and participate in ongoing education while liaising with physicians to optimize procedures.

A high school diploma, ABRET EEG registry, BLS certification, and 4–5 years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Registration in one Neurodiagnostic modality through ABRET is required.
• EEG registry must be obtained within 3 years of hire date.
• Additional certification/eligibility in EP/CNIM/LTM is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the technical operation of clinical services provided by the department.
• Coordinates Neurodiagnostic staffing schedules and assigns priorities according to workload.
• Performs routine and complex EEGs in patient care areas.
• Reviews the quality of work and competencies of technologists and interns.
• Maintains equipment safety and performs preventive maintenance.
• Develops ongoing technical education and ensures implementation of skills.
• Maintains relationships with referring physicians to resolve problems and advise on procedures.
