Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health seeks an EEG Technician to conduct neurodiagnostic tests including EEGs, Evoked Potentials, and Nerve Conduction Studies. You will prepare patients, apply electrodes, and ensure high-quality data for accurate diagnoses.

The role requires strong neurophysiology knowledge, mechanical and electrical skills to maintain equipment, and the ability to work with neurologists and staff to support treatment decisions in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from certified Neuro-diagnostic program or four (4) or more years of relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of EEG, EMG standards.
• An understanding of medical terminology.
• Excellent mechanical/electrical skills to maintain and troubleshoot equipment.
• Working knowledge of sterilization techniques and universal precautions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to operate a computer.
• Working knowledge of test interpretation and techniques.
• A high school diploma or GED is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform EEGs, Evoked Potentials, and Nerve Conduction Studies independently.
• Prepare patients and apply electrodes according to protocols; acquire precise data.
• Adapt procedures to patient needs and clinical indications; strive for diagnostic excellence.
• Collaborate with neurologists, physicians, and unit staff to inform treatment decisions.
