Allegheny Health Network (AHN) is recruiting a Neurohospitalist/Neurocritical Care Neurologist to join our AHN Department of Neurosurgery and Neurology in Pittsburgh, PA. The role combines 50% Neurohospitalist care and 50% Neuro Critical Care in a dedicated neuro-ICU setting.

The position emphasizes collaboration with neurosurgery, critical care, and nursing teams, as well as education of students and residents, with involvement in quality improvement and clinical protocol development.

Formación

• Completion of an ACGME-approved Neurology Residency.
• Completion of an ACGME-approved Neuro Critical Care Fellowship.
• Board-eligible/board-certified in Neurology.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute neurological conditions for inpatient population.
• Provide expert neurological consultations to emergency and inpatient services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate treatment plans and patient flow.
• Deliver high-level critical care management in the Neuro-ICU.
• Perform advanced bedside procedures for acute neuro-emergencies.
• Partner with neurosurgery, critical care, and nursing to optimize outcomes.

Allegheny Health Network (AHN) is recruiting a dual role as a Neurohospitalist/Neurocritical Care Neurologist to join our growing team located in Pittsburgh, PA! Our subspecialized Center focuses on providing our community with state of art, the most innovative therapy, including an outpatient center.

Job Duties

• Neurohospitalist Care (50%):
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute neurological conditions for a diverse inpatient population.
  • Provide expert neurological consultations to emergency and inpatient medical services.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans and ensure efficient patient flow.
• Neuro Critical Care (50%):
  • Deliver specialized, high-level critical care management for patients within the Neuro-Intensive Care Unit (Neuro-ICU).
  • Perform advanced bedside procedures pertinent to acute neuro-emergencies.
  • Partner closely with neurosurgery, critical care specialists, and dedicated nursing staff to optimize clinical outcomes for critically ill patients.
  • Contribute to the education and clinical training of medical students, neurology residents, and fellows.
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical protocol development.

Job Qualifications

• Completion of ACGME approved Neurology Residency
• Completion of ACGME approved Neuro Critical Care Fellowship
• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Neurology
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
