Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a Neurocritical Care Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to optimize care for neuro ICU patients at OHORMC. The role focuses on round participation, protocol development, and serving as the pharmacology resource during emergencies.

The position supports training of residents and fellows with opportunities for clinical translational research and mentorship within a large, trauma-centered system.

Qualifications

• PharmD required with postgraduate residency(s) in hospital/critical care.
• Completion of PGY-1 residency; 3+ years hospital practice preferred.
• Completion of PGY-2 residency (critical care preferred); Florida licensure eligibility.
• Neurocritical care experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Attend multidisciplinary rounds for neuro ICU patients.
• Identify/update neurocritical care protocols and order sets.
• Serve as pharmacy/drug information resource during emergencies (ACLS, code, stroke responses).
• Support training for residents, fellows, and pharmacy residents.
• Collaborate on corporate/ORMC/stroke committees and other meetings.
• Mentor and guide decentralized clinical pharmacy staff.
• Participate in translational research and present educational sessions.
• Precept PGY-1/PGY-2 residents and pharmacy students.
