Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville, VA is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the NNICU/NIMU, caring for adult neurocritical patients with stroke, neurological injury, and complex neurosurgical needs. You will work across both units to follow patients through hospitalization, with a rotating 12-hour shift schedule including day, night, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited graduate school of nursing or physician assistant program.
• Active Virginia licensure or eligibility as NP/PA; board certification as applicable.
• Current BLS; ACLS/PALS as required; credentialing per UVA Health.
• New grads considered with extended orientation; ICU/neuro ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage adult neurocritical care patients in collaboration with physicians, neurology and neurosurgery teams.
• Develop evidence-based plans and respond to rapidly changing clinical conditions.
• Provide education and mentorship to learners; ensure thorough documentation and compliance.
