Job summary

A leading healthcare institution in Arizona is seeking a Neurocritical Care Specialist for their premier Level I Trauma and Stroke Center. This role involves providing specialized care in a collegial environment with a dedicated team of physicians. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in Neurology and Neurocritical Care, and a strong interest in traumatic brain injury and stroke is preferred. The position offers a 1 week on/1 week off schedule, relocation expenses covered, and no outpatient clinic requirements.

Qualifications

• Completion of a neurology residency and accredited fellowship needed.

Our award-winning Level I Trauma and Stroke Center seeks to add a Neurocritical Care Specialist to our comprehensive team. Our trauma and neurosurgical program is a leader in Phoenix and Scottsdale and offers multidisciplinary care. The neurocritical care physician will be part of our supportive and collegial group dedicated to making a difference in our communities. Join an active neuroICU with developed protocols and order sets, run independentlyby neurointensivists. The neurointensivist is an associatemember of the trauma and stroke team. Pathology will include subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracranial hemorrhage, diffuse axonal injury, closed head injury, status epilepticus, ischemic stroke, hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy, and other neurological manifestations of critical illnessin a critical setting.The neurocritical care physician would work alongside 3 other Neurocritical Care physicians, 12 Neurosurgeons, 10 Trauma Surgeons, 3 Stroke Neurologists, 10 Neurohospitalists and 4 Mid-level providers; Full inhouse hospitalist, trauma, anesthesia program and MICU to assist with afterhours intubations; inhouse line team available for central and arterial lines;1 week on / 1 week off schedule; Remote access to imaging, remote access to Epic EMR, dictation, remote access to EEG; No outpatient clinic; No general neurology; No research requirement; help build a comprehensive team; Learn how to perform ventriculostomies, TCDs, lumbar drains, and invasive intracranial pressure and oxygenmonitor placement; Relocation expenses paid; top schools in the nation; safe and secure salaried position;

We require the physician to be: M.D., D.O., or M.B.B.S.; BC/BE Neurology and Neurocritical Care; Completion of a neurology residency, and an accredited fellowship in Neurocritical Care.

Interest in TBI, status epilepticus, or stroke are a plus.

Interest in teaching medical students and mid-levels preferred.

Comfort with standard ICU procedures, EEG interpretation
