Job summary

MercyOne Central Iowa is hiring a Registered Nurse for our neuroscience/stroke unit in Des Moines. You will provide individualized nursing care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure patient safety and comfort across shifts.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa RN licensure required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Mandatory Reporter training within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care while ensuring patient comfort.
• Practice safe patient handling techniques.
• Continuously evaluate assigned patients and provide ongoing treatment.
• Address educational and emotional needs of patients and families.
• Guide healthcare personnel in patient care and ensure equipment readiness.
