Job summary

Tower Health's Reading Hospital in Reading, PA is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a 30-bed Neuro/Trauma unit within a Level 1 Trauma Center. The team partners with physicians, social workers, case management and pharmacists to provide comprehensive care.

Flexible scheduling and extensive specialty education are highlighted, with a focus on patient-centered, high-technology care and mentoring for new graduates through the Vizient Nurse Residency program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• PA Registered Nurse License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.
• Deliver excellent nursing care through evaluations, planning, implementation, and documentation while serving a diverse patient population with complex concerns.
• Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
• Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
