Job summary

The MedElite Group is seeking a detail-oriented Neuro Technician to support neurological diagnostic testing in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. You will prepare patients, perform EEGs and neurodiagnostic tests, monitor during procedures, and document results to assist clinicians in accurate diagnoses for geriatric patients.

This 1099 contract role offers a 9:00am-5:30pm schedule in Connecticut with travel to partner facilities; a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $100,000 and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or formal neurodiagnostic training preferred.
• Certification as an EEG or Neurodiagnostic Technician (R.EEG T., CNIM, or equivalent) preferred
• Prior experience in neurodiagnostic testing strongly preferred
• Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care settings is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working with the geriatric population
• Prolonged standing/walking. Assisting with patient positioning. Operating diagnostic equipment. Lifting/moving patients.
• Ability to travel to multiple facilities as needed

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for neurological diagnostic procedures, including EEGs and other neurodiagnostic tests
• Perform neurodiagnostic testing in accordance with established protocols and safety standards
• Monitor patients during procedures and report any significant findings or concerns to the supervising clinician
• Ensure proper setup, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of neurodiagnostic equipment
• Accurately document test results, observations, and patient responses in the medical record
• Maintain compliance with infection control, HIPAA, and facility policies
• Provide clear explanations and reassurance to patients to ensure comfort and cooperation
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff to support high-quality patient care
• Travel to partner skilled nursing and long-term care facilities as assigned
