Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking a registered nurse for the Medical Neurology unit, part of a Joint Commission certified stroke center. The RN coordinates nursing care, supports patient education, and ensures safe transitions of care for stroke, epilepsy, and general neurology patients.

Ideal candidates will hold an RN license, have a year of RN experience, and be flexible with shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends. BLS certification and EMR experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program recognized by ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA.
• One year of RN experience required.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Computer skills; EMR experience preferred.
• Flexibility for days/evenings/nights/holidays/weekends and on-call.
• Demonstrated leadership and critical thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care for assigned patients.
• Provide patient/family education and transitions of care.
