Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the OR Neuro Spine team at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT. The role focuses on specialized nursing care for neuro and spine surgeries in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Ideal candidates have an active CT RN license and BLS at hire. BSN is preferred, with OR experience required. A sign-on bonus of up to $30,000 is available and tuition assistance programs are offered.

• BSN preferred.
• Previous OR experience required.
• OR Novice nurses may apply to the OR Nurse Transition to Practice Program.

Responsibilities

• Function as Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room.
• Organize and administer individualized patient care in the Operating Room.
• Provide nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and AORN, ASPAN, and SGNA standards.
• Participate in patient teaching and incorporate specific age/cultural needs in care planning.
• Engage in quality improvement activities.
• Deliver specialized care for patients undergoing neuro and spine surgeries.
• Ensure patient safety and well-being throughout complex procedures.
