In this role you'll perform specialized high-acuity neuro-interventional radiographic procedures including mechanical thrombectomy, arteriovenous malformations, angioplasty, and coil embolization in accordance with departmental protocols. Prepares patients and work area, reviews cases for appropriate supplies, and anticipates physician needs by passing wires, catheters, and specialized neuro devices. Operates and troubleshoots C-arms and imaging equipment while maintaining aseptic technique and radiation safety standards.
Educates patients and families, administers radiopharmaceuticals and approved medications, produces high-quality diagnostic images, and maintains accurate documentation. Responds independently to interventional radiology and neuro call backs while ensuring optimal patient outcomes. This is an assignment based role. You will be working at Banner University Medical Center - Phoenix. Shifts will be from 8a-5p. Banner Staffing Services (BSS) offers Registry/Per Diem opportunities within Banner Health. This position performs prescribed specialized high acuity neurologic and body-focused radiographic procedures as directed by following department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.
Internal customers: All levels of medical imaging and nursing management and staff, medical staff, and all other members of the interdisciplinary health care team. External Customers: regulatory and health agencies, patients and family members.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
