Banner Health in Mesa, AZ is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform high-acuity neurologic and body radiographic procedures. The role requires adherence to department policies and ensuring patient safety.
This day-shift position supports a 4-day workweek with 10-hour days from 7:00am to 5:30pm, with rotating nights, weekends and on-call duties. The department operates multiple angio suites in a Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center setting.

Location: 1400 S Dobson Road, Mesa AZ, 85202
Schedule: 4 days a week with 10-hour days from 7:00am 5:30pm. Monday through Friday, plus rotating nights, weekends and holiday on call.
Day to day: Our IR department runs 2-3 Angio labs every day depending on volume. When fully staffed, we have 9 Neuro Special Procedure Techs and 16 IR nurses. We share 5 IR physicians and 6 PAs with other Banner facilities in the east valley. Each day we are staffed with 1-2 physicians and 1-2 PAs. Our tech's shifts start at 0700 and we aim to have the first patients in the rooms by 0730. We do a combination of body and neuro cases to include (but not limited to) standard lines, tubes and drain placements, DVT/PE thrombectomies, Y90 procedures, chemoembolization, prostate artery embolization's, TIPS procedures, as well as acute stroke thrombectomies and scheduled neuro interventions such as MMA embolization's, carotid artery stenting etc. We are a Level I Trauma Center and now a Comprehensive Stroke Center so we see some of the most acute patients in the Valley.
We have three angio suites. Two rooms are Philips AZURION systems; one is a biplane for neuro cases and the other is a monoplane for everything else. Our third angio suite is a GE INNOVA biplane system that can be used for neuro or body cases.
We perform procedures on adult and pediatric patients. Our pediatric procedures are done under general anesthesia, while adult procedures are typically performed under conscious sedation. Being a Level I Trauma Center we perform procedures on unstable trauma patients. Being a Comprehensive Stroke Center also drives a large percentage of our emergent, on-call procedures.

This position performs prescribed specialized high acuity neurologic and body-focused radiographic procedures as directed by following department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.
