Bryan Health in Lincoln, NE seeks a Neuro Registered Nurse (RN) to meet priority patient needs through assessment, care planning, and execution in the neuro care setting. The role involves collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, documentation per policy, and supervising support staff as needed.

Responsibilities include initiating reassessments, coordinating care, educating patients and families, and managing complex neuro conditions across perioperative pathways.

Competenze

• Active RN license in Nebraska or a compact state as defined by Nebraska Nurse Practice Act.
• Evidence of certification and/or instruction for practice area as required by State or Federal standards/regulations.
• Prior surgery experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.

• Manages the care of the patients with conditions including: Multi-system failure/Traumatic brain injury; Neurological insult; Spinal cord injuries; Parkinson's; Acute respiratory failure; Acute neurological insult/injury; Seizures; Hydrocephalus.
• Manages the care of patients receiving all types of cranial procedures, including but not limited to: deep brain stimulator implants, cortical mapping, IMRI procedures, tumor resections, Leksell and Patil brain biopsies, stealth procedures, VP shunt insertions, aneurysm clipping and traumatic brain injuries.

SUMMARY

The Neuro Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for meeting patient's priority needs through assessment, participating in interdisciplinary care planning, providing and /or delegating care based on patient needs and evaluating patients' responses. The Neuro RN contributes to an efficient and effective work environment through professional communication and documentation, preceptoring and/or resourcing of others. The Neuro RN supervises support staff in the delivery of patient care as described in Nebraska Statute 38.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or approved compact state of residence as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act. Must provide evidence of certification and/or instruction for practice area as required by State or Federal standards/regulations. Prior surgery experience preferred. Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.
