Job summary

Kessler Foundation in East Hanover, NJ seeks a Recruitment and Outreach Specialist to drive participant enrollment for MS and TBI studies, coordinating with clinicians and advocacy groups. You will manage recruitment advertising, schedule visits, ensure IRB/HIPAA compliance, and contribute to data collection and reporting across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• At least three years of related research experience, including participant recruitment and advertising/marketing.
• Experience working with a Principal Investigator and with people with disabilities or chronically ill populations.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in social sciences, health sciences, or communications.
• Excellent interpersonal, time-management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Understanding of randomized clinical trials.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience in data management from multiple sources (e.g., medical records, surveys).
• Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Access to own transportation and ability to travel between East Hanover, NJ, and northern NJ as needed.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate recruitment, enrollment, and outreach; meet with neurologists, clinics, and local organizations.
• Manage advertising strategies and develop promotional materials.
• Coordinate scheduling of participant visits among team members.
• Prepare reports on recruitment and enrollment for meetings and publications.
• Oversee consent activities conducted by staff.
• Assist with training of other research personnel.
• Assist with data collection and medical record abstraction.
• Maintain communication with the Principal Investigator and project team.
• Ensure data quality control and HIPAA/IRB compliance.
• Coordinate IRB applications, submissions, audits, and renewals.
• Maintain recruitment databases (SIMS and REDCap).
