Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) with Neuro OR experience preferred.
• Flexibility to rotate shifts and handle call duties.

Responsibilities

• Circulate a variety of neurosurgical cases in the Neuro OR.
• Provide patient care in the intra-operative phase and ensure patient safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate care plans with the health care team and supervise other staff as needed.

Job description

Are you looking for flexibility to your schedule? This position rotates fireman's call. You get paid 40 hours per week and only take call for 7 days in a row during the evening, night and on the weekend on a rotating basis.

This position also offers ability to join many different committees, advance through a career advancement program, and learn to scrub a variety of surgical cases including functional, spine, vascular, and cranial neurosurgical procedures. There are always opportunities for learning and advancement throughout the Neuro OR!

As a nurse in our Neuro Operating Room you will circulate a variety of cases. This position requires flexibility and dependability and is responsible for the care of the patient in the intra-operative phase of care. To be successful in this role, you will need to be a strong patient advocate focused on patient safety and efficiency.

0645-1715, Full Time Days,

This position includes call coverage. The call response time is 30 minutes.

The Work:

The Neuro Registered Nurse in Surgery is accountable for utilizing the nursing process. safety and efficiency.

Responsible for performing patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff.

Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures.
