Job summary

The University of Chicago's Department of Neurological Surgery invites applications for full-time faculty appointments at any rank to oversee a research program in neuro-oncology. Appointees will be based on the Hyde Park campus, teach at undergraduate and/or graduate levels, and may participate in clinical care if appropriate.

Candidates should hold a PhD or MD/PhD and have at least five years of leadership in a research laboratory.

Qualifications

• Hold a PhD or MD/PhD in Neuroscience, Cancer Biology, Neurobiology, Bioengineering, Immunology, Cell Biology, Anatomy or a related field.
• At least five years of experience overseeing a research laboratory in an academic or industry setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a research program in neuro-oncology.
• Teach at undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
• Possibly participate in clinical care if appropriate.
• Collaborate with other departments, BSD divisions, and affiliated cancer centers.
