Job summary

Rehab Without Walls in Austin, TX is seeking a Music Therapist to apply neurologic principles of music therapy to address physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs. You will work with a dynamic team of therapists, benefiting from schedule flexibility and clinical autonomy while delivering evidence-based treatment.

The role involves evaluations, direct therapy, activity planning, and ongoing documentation to support patient progress and outcomes in a rehab setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy is required.
• Current license as Music Therapist or eligibility per state.
• MT-BC certification may be required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluations and sets measurable objectives with rehabilitation team.
• Delivers direct music therapy treatment for habilitative and rehabilitative goals.
• Plans and organizes music therapy activities aligned to patient needs.
• Monitors patient responses and adjusts treatment for maximum outcomes.
• Communicates progress to the treatment team and family as appropriate.
• Collaborates with PT/OT/SLP to support therapy goals.
• Observes, documents, and reports changes to the clinical team.
• Provides training and documents outcomes of therapy interventions.
• Maintains documentation for evaluations, treatment, and billing per regulations.
• Complies with Code of Conduct, HIPAA, and applicable laws.
