Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Health Care Technician I (S) at the O’Berry Neuro-Medical Treatment Center. This role focuses on direct, person-centered care in a skilled nursing setting, supporting residents with complex needs while upholding dignity and respect.

You will perform nursing assistant duties, help with daily living activities, and ensure health and safety per regulatory guidelines, including HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be in good standing with NC Health Care Personnel Registry.
• Training: NCI, CPR, Body Mechanics and lifting will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living to promote independence.
