Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures, including angiography, venography, myelography, nephro-ureteral and GI studies, with post-processing and documentation. Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited training is required; no prior experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and interventional procedures to include angiography, venography, myelography, nephro-ureteral, and gastrointestinal studies, with modality-assisted drainage and biopsies.
• Completes all post processing functions and related record keeping and patient care.
• Adheres to established protocols and techniques distinguishing adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populations.
• Demonstrates competence in interventional radiology procedures on patients of all ages; positions patient and selects correct protocol and equipment.
• Maintains competencies for all related components and follows imaging protocols.
• Provides quality age-specific care in accordance with prescribed standards and practices.
• Adheres to Radiation Safety Policies and dose reduction program principles.
• Provides patient education and communications.
• Competent to position and utilize imaging equipment for radiological exams on all age groups.
