Job summary

Baptist is seeking a dedicated RN to deliver direct and indirect patient care in Memphis, TN. This role requires collaboration with physicians, leadership, and other teams to improve patient outcomes using critical thinking and compassionate care.

Responsibilities include caring for diverse patients, administering medications, educating patients and families, and ensuring safety and quality. BLS certification is expected within 14 days of hire, with a graduate nursing program as a baseline

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients appropriately based on medical condition.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Provide age-appropriate care including basic self-care.
• Develop and evaluate teaching plans with family involvement.
• Apply nursing knowledge to perform treatments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team in patient care.
• Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical tasks.
• Address psychosocial needs; coordinate with social services for discharge planning.
• Use supplies efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Prioritize patient care effectively and efficiently.
• Promote patient safety and reduce risk of harm.
• Pursue lifelong learning in nursing.
