Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health’s NSICU in Richmond seeks an experienced RN to deliver neurocritical care across three clinical levels. You will participate in a multidisciplinary team, follow physician orders, and ensure safe medication administration and patient comfort.

The role emphasizes leadership development, clinical proficiency in neuro ICU, and adherence to ANA ethics and VCUHS policies. Shift rotations include weekends and holidays, with a focus on high-quality patient

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Virginia or eligible/compact state.
• Diploma or Associate Degree in nursing.
• All RNs without a Bachelor's degree must enroll in an approved RN to BSN program within two years and complete within five.
• Clin I: 0; Clin II: 12–24 months RN experience; Clin III: 3 years clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, age-appropriate care per medical orders and multidisciplinary plans.
• Safely administer prescribed medications and monitor for interactions.
• Demonstrate leadership by guiding and supervising other team members.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to prevent illness and maintain wellness.
• Adhere to Virginia nursing regulations and ANA ethics while providing patient care.
