Job summary

Mayo Career Site US is seeking a Research Technologist to support studies involving human brain tissue and neurodegenerative disorders. Responsibilities include histology, cell culture, data collection and basic analysis, and assisting with manuscript preparation.

Under supervision, you will work with specialized techniques such as immunohistochemistry, tissue processing, and automated staining platforms, coordinating with the Brain Bank as needed.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience with human brain tissue, neuroanatomy or Brain Bank/biorepository operations.
• Experience with histology techniques, automated staining platforms, tissue sectioning and slide inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform routine lab procedures, including assays and cell/tissue culture.
• Monitor results, report unusual outcomes and suggest modifications.
• Collect and summarize data; assist in manuscript writing.
• Present at lab meetings and contribute to data visualization.
