Job summary

CHI St. Alexius Health in Bismarck, ND, seeks a Neuro Diagnostic Tech to perform END procedures in the lab, bedside in critical care units, and in surgical suites across all ages. The role involves complex data analysis and providing technical descriptions of data.

Required: high school graduate with electro‑neurodiagnostic training or on‑the‑job training, and current BCLS certification. Preferred: 1–3 years of experience in neurodiagnostic modalities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs various neurodiagnostic testing including EEGs, multimodality evoked potentials, surgical monitoring across ages and conditions.
• Review, analyze and document patient data to determine recording procedures and methodologies.
• Introduce patient and family to testing environment, address questions, and ensure comfort and safety during the procedure.
• Prepare patients for procedures per protocols, test equipment, and make adjustments as necessary.
• Observe and assess the ongoing study to determine recording parameters and adjust as required.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Neuro Diagnostic Tech, you will help perform END procedures in the laboratory, at the bedside in critical care units, and in the surgical suites on all ages of patients served by the department. Performs complex patient examinations requiring extensive computer interaction and/or computation of recorded data, and provides technical description of data.

Responsibilities

• Performs various neurodiagnostic testing including, but not limited to, electroencephalograms, multimodality evoked potentials, surgical monitoring in patients of varying ages and medical conditions
• Review, analyze and document patient specific data to determine appropriate recording procedures, methodology and special considerations, if any
• Introduce patient and family to the testing environment, address questions and concerns and attend to the patient’s comfort and safety during the procedure
• Prepare patients for procedures in accordance with appropriate protocols, test all equipment and make adjustments as necessary
• Individually observe and assess the clinical behavior and ongoing study to determine appropriate recording parameters for specific situations as they arise and make adjustments/changes/corrections as required

Required
