Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a collaborative inpatient ICU team with a focus on neurocritical care at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. The role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic conditions, performing procedures, and ordering tests.

The candidate will work nights in a full-time schedule, with premium differentials. Requires CT license or eligibility and certification as an ACNP or PA.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible).
• Training: Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
• Experience: 1+ year as an advanced practice provider in critical care; neurocritical care a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat and manage acute and chronic diseases in ICU patients.
• Perform procedures and interpret diagnostic tests per protocol.
• Communicate with patients and families about conditions and care plans.
• Collaborate with intensivists and other consultants to coordinate care.
