Job summary

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group seeks a Neuro Critical Care Intensivist to serve as Medical Director for the Comprehensive Stroke Center in Willowbrook, just north of downtown Houston. The role is full-time, with leadership responsibilities and an emphasis on advanced neurocritical care in a premier clinical setting.

The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in Neurology, fellowship-trained in neurocritical care, and able to obtain Texas licensure.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in Neurology is required.
• Fellowship in Neurocritical Care preferred.
• Texas medical license or in process to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide neurocritical care in the ICU and lead the stroke program as Medical Director.
• Oversee clinical care for complex neurological illnesses and injuries.
• Coordinate with EPIC EMR system and hospital teams in a full‑time capacity.
