Job summary

Cortex TBI seeks a compassionate Nurse Practitioner to evaluate patients with traumatic brain injuries, post-concussion symptoms, headaches and dizziness. You will perform assessments, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications when allowed, and coordinate care with neurologists and therapists to optimize recovery.

The role emphasizes evidence-based evaluation, individualized plans, and multidisciplinary collaboration in a direct W-2 employment model.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP license in the state of practice.
• Current national board certification in a relevant nursing specialty.
• Master's or doctoral degree in nursing.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within required timeframe.
• Experience conducting patient assessments and developing treatment plans.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate clinical records and coordinate care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient consultations and obtain detailed medical histories including injury history and symptoms.
• Perform physical and neurological examinations within licensure scope.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on findings and guidelines.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests as authorized and appropriate.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Educate patients about conditions, recovery expectations, and follow-up care.
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists and other specialists.
• Maintain thorough, compliant clinical documentation in the EHR.
