Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Neuroscience or related field.
• Strong skills in molecular and cell biology techniques.
• Experience with murine genetic models.
• Working knowledge of neural injury and regeneration models.
• High quality research publications.
• Ability to apply for National research grants.
• Willingness to lead independent and collaborate on team projects.

Responsibilities

• Span cellular and molecular mechanisms of neural injury and regeneration.
• Work with murine modeling including neurodevelopmental disorders, neurotrauma, neurodegeneration and demyelinating diseases.
• Utilize transgenic mouse models, stem cell engraftment, and pharmacologic approaches to unleash neural regeneration.
• Implement in vitro studies with primary murine and human iPSC-derived neural stem cells and in vivo experiments in murine models.
• Opportunities to integrate studies that utilize human specimens and patient records.
