Job summary

Harvard Bionics Lab at Harvard University seeks a Fellow to advance biohybrid systems and neural interfaces. The role focuses on developing sensing technologies for peripheral nerves and organ interfacing, with in vivo rodent (rat/mouse) models.

You will design, test, and prototype sensor systems, perform survival surgeries in rodents, record electrophysiological data, analyze datasets, and document procedures to ensure reproducibility. Independence within defined protocols is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, Physiology, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with rat or mouse models (required)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and test sensor systems for recording neural and physiological signals.
  • Perform survival surgeries in rodents and conduct electrophysiological recordings.
  • Analyze datasets and maintain rigorous experimental documentation.
  • Support iterative device development and troubleshooting of experimental systems.
