Pacer Group is seeking a Senior Network Administrator/Engineer in Tulsa, OK for a contract-to-full-time position. The role focuses on network engineering, troubleshooting, and customer-facing support with expertise in Cisco ACI, SD-WAN, VMware VeloCloud, and Segment Routing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5+ years of network engineering/administration experience, preferably in an L3/L4 environment.
• Expert-level experience with Cisco ACI, Cisco SD-WAN, VMware VeloCloud, and Segment Routing.
• Strong SD-WAN experience is required.
• Hands-on experience with OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, EVPN, VXLAN.
• Advanced network troubleshooting and packet-level analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide L3/L4 network administration, engineering, troubleshooting, and support for complex enterprise environments.
• Design, configure, implement, and support Cisco ACI and Cisco SD-WAN environments.
• Manage and troubleshoot VMware VeloCloud SD-WAN infrastructure and connectivity.
• Support Segment Routing, MPLS, VXLAN, and EVPN-based architectures.
• Configure and troubleshoot OSPF, IS-IS, and BGP routing.
• Perform packet-level analysis to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Troubleshoot routing, switching, SD-WAN, overlay, underlay, and connectivity problems.
• Participate in design reviews, planning, and change management.
• Engage with customers to diagnose issues and communicate status.
• Collaborate with architects, engineering, and vendors to solve problems.
• Document configurations, procedures, and solutions.

SKILLS REQUIRED

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Administrator/Engineer to provide network engineering, troubleshooting, and customer-facing support. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Cisco ACI, SD-WAN, VMware VeloCloud, Segment Routing, and advanced routing technologies. This role requires a strong technical problem solver who can analyze complex network issues at the packet level, design and implement network solutions, and communicate effectively with customers and internal engineering teams.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide L3/L4 network administration, engineering, troubleshooting, and operational support for complex enterprise network environments.
• Design, configure, implement, and support Cisco ACI and Cisco SD-WAN environments.
• Manage and troubleshoot VMware VeloCloud SD-WAN infrastructure and connectivity.
• Support Segment Routing, MPLS, VXLAN, and EVPN-based network architectures.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routing protocols including OSPF, IS-IS, and BGP.
• Perform advanced packet-level analysis using network monitoring and packet capture tools to identify and resolve complex network issues.
• Troubleshoot routing, switching, SD-WAN, overlay, underlay, and connectivity issues across enterprise environments.
• Participate in network design reviews, implementation planning, peer reviews, and change management activities.
• Work directly with customers to understand technical issues, provide recommendations, communicate status, and drive issues through resolution.
• Collaborate with network architects, engineering teams, infrastructure teams, and vendors to resolve complex technical problems.
• Document network configurations, troubleshooting procedures, implementation plans, and technical solutions.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering or network administration, preferably in an L3/L4 environment.
• Expert-level experience with Cisco ACI, Cisco SD-WAN, VMware VeloCloud, and Segment Routing.
• Strong experience with SD-WAN technologies is required.
• Strong hands-on experience with OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, EVPN, and VXLAN.
• Advanced network troubleshooting and packet-level analysis experience.
• Experience working directly with customers and presenting technical solutions in a professional environment.
