Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in California seeks a senior software engineer with 8+ years of development experience. You will contribute hands-on C/C++ development, design networking components, and work on Kubernetes-based deployments in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have strong routing, DNS/DHCP expertise and experience with agile processes (Scrum) using Jira/Confluence/GitLab. GoLang, Squid Proxy, and WiFi networking are pluses.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 8+ years of related development experience.
• Hands-on networking development experience with routing, DNS, DHCP.
• Strong C/C++ development experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes required.
• GoLang and Squid Proxy experience preferred.
• WiFi networking experience preferred.
• 3+ years in Scrum/agile environments with 2-week sprints.
• Familiarity with Jira/Confluence/Git/GitLab and automation testing tools.
• Familiarity with static code analysis and OO design.

Job description

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of related development experience
• Must have strong hands-on networking development experience with routing, dns, dhcp (not just knowledge of)
• Must have strong c/c++ development experience.
• Must have Kubernetes experience.
• Preferably have Squid Proxy experience.
• Preferably have GoLang experience.
• Preferably have Wifi networking experience.
• 3+ years of experience working with Scrum software development processes with rapid iteration cycles (2-week sprints)
• Experience working with Agile development tools such as:
• Jira, Confluence, Git / GitLab
• Automation testing tools
• Static code analysis
• Familiarity with object-oriented design and development, including effective use of interfaces.
