TITLE: NETWORK SYSTEMS TECHNICIANFLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPTA SHIFT: MONDAY THRU WEDNESDAY AND EVERY OTHER THURSDAY FROM 6:00 AM TO 6:00 PMREPORTS TO: MANAGER APPLICATIONS DEVELOPMENTSUMMARY:Under the direction of the Manager of Applications Development, the Network Systems Technician will install, configure, maintain, and trouble-shoot network-connected equipment network configurations, and file sharing setting across the organization. The technician is responsible for stable connectivity, secure access to shared resources, and timely resolution of network-related issues. This position is located in Milpitas, CA.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Configures, maintains, and troubleshoots Fab equipment, including equipment PCs, switches, routers, wireless access points, IIoT, and other connected devicesSets up and manages network configurations such as IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and device connectivityConfigures and maintains file sharing settings, shared folders, permissions, and user access controlsMonitors network performance and identifies connectivity, speed, or access issuesDiagnoses and resolves hardware, software, and network communication problemsSupports installation, relocation, and replacement of network-connected equipmentDocuments network layouts, device configurations, file share structures, and support proceduresAssists with system updates, firmware upgrades, backups, and basic security controlsCoordinates with IT staff, vendors, and end users to maintain reliable network operationsEnsures compliance with company security policies and access management standardsAdheres to all safety policies and procedures as requiredPerforms other duties of a similar nature or level*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Associates degree or technical certification and/or equivalent relevant experience in networking or IT supportThree to five years of experience configuring and supporting networked equipment and file sharing environments, including managing shared drives, folder permissions, and access rights in Windows or similar environmentsProficient in the use of Microsoft Office applicationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge and experience with Active Directory, Windows Server, NAS devices, or enterprise file sharingKnowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and wireless networkingKnowledge of CompTIA Network+, Cisco, Microsoft, or similar certificationsGeneral knowledge of network monitoring tools and ticketing systemsDemonstrated skill at network configurations and maintenance, file sharing and permissions Demonstrated desktop and application service and support skillsDemonstrated organizational and time management skillsDemonstrated problem-solving and trouble shooting skillsAble to work productively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and managementAble to work independently or with minimal supervisionAble to understand moderately complex verbal and written instructionsFlexible and able to prioritizeThe hourly rate for this full-time position is between $25.29-$37.94 + bonus target + benefits. Within the range the individual pay may differ depending on additional factors including job responsibilities, job related knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and experience. The hourly pay range shown is subject to change and may be modified periodically.WORKING CONDITIONS:The Network Systems Technician works primarily in an office environment on A shift which is Monday thru Wednesday and every other Thursday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The schedule may be altered from time-to-time to meet business or operational needs; may travel from building-to-building as needed. May also work in a class 100 ESD sensitive wafer manufacturing facility; wears a cleanroom (bunny) suit, including hood, gloves, safety glasses, booties, and mask. May be exposed to hazardous conditions, chemicals, fumes, and/or gases during the course of workday; may be exposed to loud noise. Stands and walks; performs various fine grasping movements, bends, and twists; operates a computer and enters information using a keyboard, operates a telephone, and other office equipment.
