Overview

Whiteboard Federal is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide mission-critical support to our customers. The ideal candidate will work closely with development and system engineering personnel to document, coordinate, and communicate releases.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructures.
• Experience maintaining cloud/on-prem hybrid architectures.
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Configure and manage operating systems (Linux, Unix, Windows).
• Experience managing security and policies.
• Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Perform moderately complex network designs using existing technology.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes-based scalable architectures.

Basic Qualifications

• A Bachelor or Master\'s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated professional experience in supporting IT environments.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience using scripting for task automation, data transfer, etc.
• Monitor application and operating system performance; analyze, document and remediate incidents.

Desired Skills

• Experience transitioning to a cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
• Highly self-motivated with keen attention to detail.
• Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
