Job summary

Insight Global in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Network Analyst to support a complex federal government network environment. The role requires 100% on-site work at the customer facility and an active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

You will monitor and analyze enterprise networks, provide guidance to government and project leads, and implement network updates in line with engineering directives. Strong scripting skills for automation are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI.
  • Minimum of 3 years of IT experience specializing in networking with Cisco switches/routers.
  • Working knowledge of web applications, web servers, load balancers and storage systems.
  • Good knowledge of network and security tools and methodologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, ACLs).
  • Scripting experience (Python/Go/Perl/Bash) to support network automation.

Job description

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant IT experience with specialization in networking technologies, specifically with Cisco switches and routers and analyzing complex networks
  • Working knowledge of web applications, web servers, application load balancers and storage systems.
  • Must have good knowledge of general network and security tools and methodologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS and access control lists.
  • Moderate skill in scripting / coding (python, go, Perl, Bash, etc.) in order to support network automation tasks.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
  • CCNA or higher certification
  • Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related area
  • Moderate skill in scripting / coding (python, go, Perl, Bash, etc.) in order to support network automation tasks.
  • Have knowledge and experience configuring and monitoring cryptographic devices.
  • Experience in network engineering within the federal intelligence community
  • Ability to adhere to a disciplined troubleshooting methodology, and ensure task/mission completion, along with creating and maintaining necessary information.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with attention to detail.
Job Description

Supports a complex federal government network environment across multiple classification levels, providing technical engineering support, network compliance monitoring, and configuration management. Responsible for implementing network and software updates in accordance with engineering team directives and project requirements.

  • Monitoring and analyzing enterprise networks.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the Government, Project Lead, and other Network Analyst in support of monitoring and managing the customer networks.
  • Maintain awareness of trends and best practices related to networks, technology and IT-related topics and provide recommendations to the Project Lead and Government on possible improvements or changes to customer systems and processes.
  • Provide high-quality and professional customer service in all interactions.
  • Use the Enterprise Network Monitoring Platform to analyze and provide data and documentation related to the network performance of any or all network components.
Compensation:

$80,000-$85,000/year

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
