Job summary

The Amatriot Group is seeking a systems and networks professional to organize, install, and support government computer systems, including LANs, WANs, and security-oriented infrastructure at Hanscom AFB in Massachusetts.

You will assist in architecting network models, evaluating upgrades, and providing day-to-day technical support to DoD DoD SAP/SCI programs, with roles in security monitoring and incident response as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required for DoD environment.
• Minimum 3–5 years in related field with SAP experience noted.
• Experience with DoD SAP/SCI environments and security tooling.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day management and operations of systems and networks under supervision.
• Manage COTS and GOTS products to collect, display, and remediate automated system security and operations/performance functions and metrics.
• Follow O&M checklists to maintain services and develop SOPs and TPPS.
• Operate SIEM tools, create alarms, and generate reports.
• Support security incident response and risk analysis activities.
• Contribute to DoD SAP/SCI security programs.

Target Salary Range: $118,500 - $128,500

Position Overview

Organize, install, and support a government organization’s computer systems, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments, intranets, and other data communication systems. Assist in architecting, designing, and analyzing network models and participate in hardware and software purchasing decisions to upgrade infrastructure. Provide technical support to computer users as needed.

Support Special Access Programs (SAPs) for Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, including HQ Air Force, the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and Military Compartments efforts. Provide day-to-day support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and SAP activities.

Key Responsibilities

Systems and Network Operations

• Perform day-to-day management and operations of systems and networks under supervision.
• Manage COTS and GOTS products to collect, display, and remediate automated system security and operations/performance functions and metrics.

Operations and Maintenance Procedures

• Follow daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly Operations and Maintenance (O&M) checklists to maintain services.
• Develop Tactics, Techniques and Processes (TTPs) and Standard Operating Processes (SOPs) associated with service checklists.

Security Monitoring and Incident Response

• Operate monitoring tools and capabilities within the enterprise security information and event management (SIEM) system.
• Create and tailor complex event alarms, rules, and summary reports.
• Assist in analyzing technical risks associated with emerging cybersecurity tools and processes upon request.
• Participate in a security incident response team as needed.

Working technical competency in one or more of the following supported platforms or areas:

• Enterprise networking, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
