Job description

We're looking for a skilled Network Support Analyst to serve as a trusted technical advisor to our clients, with a focused emphasis on network infrastructure and connectivity. You'll own complex network problem-solving, drive proactive maintenance, and deliver a consistently exceptional client experience — all within a fast-paced MSP environment.

This is a client-facing, hands-on role for someone who thrives on diagnosing and resolving network challenges, takes ownership, and wants to work with a collaborative team that values both technical depth and communication skills.

Role Description
  • Diagnose and resolve network and connectivity issues — LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and beyond — escalating strategically and documenting thoroughly
  • Design and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points across diverse client environments
  • Engage directly with clients to understand their network environments, analyze challenges, and maintain clear communication throughout every engagement
  • Manage routine network maintenance — firmware updates, patch management, configuration backups, and performance optimizations
  • Implement and manage network security controls — firewalls, VLANs, access control lists, and intrusion detection — to protect client infrastructure and data
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks or vulnerabilities before they impact clients
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and network security standards
  • Maintain detailed documentation of client network topologies, configurations, and procedures
  • Mentor and collaborate with teammates to share knowledge and elevate the team
Role Requirements
Experience
  • 3–5+ years in network support, network administration, or a comparable MSP role
  • MSP experience strongly preferred
  • Relevant certifications a plus: CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent
Technical Skills
  • Deep knowledge of network protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPN
  • Hands-on experience with network hardware: Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki, Ubiquiti, or similar
  • Proficiency in firewall configuration and network security best practices
  • Familiarity with cloud networking: Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud environments
  • Systems administration proficiency: Windows and macOS
Soft Skills
  • Strong client-facing presence with a customer-first mindset
  • Clear communicator — written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented with a high bar for quality
  • Effective both independently and in team settings
  • Occasional travel to client sites required
  • On-call or after-hours availability may be needed on a rotating basis
  • Commitment to ongoing training and professional development
  • Role is based in either the Los Angeles or San Francisco areas
