Job Description

MAINSAIL Group is seeking a Network Services Engineer to support the Cyber and Networks Directorate at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, Massachusetts. This role supports the United States Air Force and the Base Information Transport Infrastructure Program.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and management of networked systems used for transmitting voice, data, and video information.
Additional Functions:
  • Analyzing and recommending network requirements.
  • Recommending and maintaining network architecture and infrastructure.
  • Analyzing network workload.
  • Monitoring network capacity and performance.
  • Diagnosing and resolving network issues.
  • Recommending backup and recovery procedures for networks.
  • Installing, testing, maintaining, and upgrading network operating systems; ensuring compliance with security and cybersecurity policies and practices.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Technical Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a network engineering role.
  • Thorough knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Ability to use, configure, troubleshoot, and operate Cisco, Juniper, Brocade, and/or HP network devices.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Active Secret Clearance required.
